## 1. Purpose

These public guides explain what **Hugston.com** and **HugstonOne** do, how their main user workflows operate, and which edition is appropriate. They are written for users, evaluators, and organizations—not as an internal build manual.

## 2. Hugston.com

Hugston.com is the public AI hub for:

- Discovering and comparing local model files.
- Inspecting practical model details such as format, size, family, tags, quantization, community interest, and download signal.
- Downloading published model releases through protected delivery routes.
- Chatting through the connected local-model service.
- Bringing supported files into private conversations.
- Reading and publishing AI news, analysis, and community articles.
- Sharing suggestions and community signal through posts, comments, and votes.

The strongest point is the connected journey: **discover a model, inspect it, download it, work with local AI, and follow useful context from one focused website**.

## 3. HugstonOne

HugstonOne is a local-first AI workspace for:

- Local inference with compatible models and runtimes.
- Persistent project sessions and controlled memory behavior.
- Documents, code, images, tables, and project files.
- Retrieval-augmented generation for relevant working context.
- Code, content, and project previews.
- Reusable skills and controlled tools.
- Multi-step agent workflows.
- Optional online research when a task genuinely needs current information.
- Exportable generated workspaces and structured output.

The strongest point is **control**: the model, working context, capability switches, previews, and generated output live in one workspace, while local-only work does not require a cloud AI account or API key.

## 5. Privacy and reliability

- Core product pages use local assets and system fonts; third-party fonts and advertising trackers are not required.
- Local mode is designed to keep model work and project context on infrastructure controlled by the user or operator.
- Online features are optional and can be unavailable without taking down the local workflow.
- Public download storage is not browsable; published files are exposed through controlled routes.
- Performance depends on the selected model, hardware, memory, context size, file size, and concurrent workload.
- Important model outputs and external research must be reviewed before consequential use.

## 6. Public-information boundary

These documents intentionally do not publish:

- Credentials, private keys, tokens, or private configuration values.
- Private server paths or internal network topology.
- Security bypass instructions.
- Proprietary source code or implementation-sensitive operational details.
- Customer data or private deployment information.
